Moving Out


Roommates Emma Kelly and Alyssa Vandermate move their couch out of their room with help from Alyssa's parents. This proved to be quite the undertaking when they reached the Babcock stairwell.

CU sophomores Kara Tucker and Keri Frawley clean up the carpet on Babcock's third floor. Even while cleaning, they find ways to enjoy themselves.

College is over for the summer

Alyssa Vandermat throws her couch cushion into the garbage at the end of the semester on May 4th at Babcock apartments at Cornerstone University.
Fred Myers goes dumpster diving at Babcock appartments at Cornerstone University on May 4 after college students threw away their unwanted furniture. Myers said he is going to recycle what he found and expects to get $10.

No more Cornerstone

Hannah Duits (right) helps Marissa Bliss move her stuff into her truck from the Babcock apartments. Bliss was leaving campus for home in fifteen minutes while Duits is planning on leaving tomorrow.


In Babcock room 308 there was still a lot to be done. Lauren Unkefer just started her cleaning and is checking out on Thursday. She has one more exam and then her Sophomore year is over.

School's Out For Summer

The men of Pickett Hall spray painted "The Rock" in the center of Cornerstone University's campus saying "Mancave Never Dies". Next year Pickett Hall will be an all female dorm, making the "mancave" a thing of the past.

Kristen Suominen, sophomore, packs up her room at the end of the hall before returning to her home in Chicago. A lot of other girls in Keithley Hall are moving out today as well.

School's out!

Sheila Johnson, sophomore, carries her stuff from second floor Pickett Hall on CU's campus Wednesday, May 4. Cornerstone students are required to be checked out of their rooms by Thursday evening after final exams are over.
 
Sheila Johnson and her father Brian Johnson, of Belding, pack her boxes onto carts to be taken to the car.  Sheila will be commuting to Cornerstone next year in order to save money.

Goodbye Cornerstone

Cornerstone Freshman Jason Fager loads up his refrigerator as he gets ready to head home to Indiana tonight.  "How did you get that in there before J?" asked his mom Sherri Fager as she watched the struggle go down. 

Freshmen Heidi Brookens (left) and Chelsea Tanis play with a new friend in Tanis' dorm room during their last night at CU.  Soon they will leave campus, but Tanis may be taking this little piece of college home with her.
