Diary of an Empty Room

Daverman 112 is empty tonight as music students gather to "swing" in the Corum. The room and conducting podium will remain empty as Dr. Kent Walters and his University Chorale leave for Florida tonight.

I shot this image using a small aperture because I wanted all the elements in the photograph to be in focus, from the podium back to the piano.

I shot this photo using a wide aperture because I wanted to give it a more dramatic feeling. I think the shallow depth of field gives the illusion that the keys stretch on forever.
