TOMS: Making a Difference

Cornerstone University students gathered together in Daverman Hall on Wednesday, April 6, to show their support for TOMS shoes. TOMS is an organization that whenever one pair of shoes are purchased, they will send a pair of shoes to a child in need. Emily Schock, sophomore, came to customize her shoes with her friend Kristen Suominen who first drew out their designs and then painted them on. Jen Manzer, junior, had a different approach, "Just go with it." was her motto. She put different colored paints on a piece of cardboard and then just saw where it would take her. "It just kind of happened," she said. The first 50 students got their shoes at a discounted rate. The Cornerstone University Student Activities teamed up with Clothing Matters to bring this event to the CU campus. Photos By: Alyssa Corwin
